After writing the post the other day on girl crushes, I surveyed a few more of my friends (still working on the guys), and here's a gem of a quote from my good friend B:
"I would have to say someone I know...it would be my friend Lauren's sister in law. She is a lawyer, very smart, very classy, always put together, always looks perfect, but not snooty and stuck up, a runner, has a golden retriever, and is married to Lauren's brother who is like a child in a 30 year old man's body...so that makes her all the more normal for a rich lawyer who lives in Alexandria, Virginia. I can only hope I'm that confident and put together someday!"

I think maturity is a huge turn-on for anyone.
i have surveyed my guy friends which, well, is like four (husband included) and they all admit to guy crushes and that they think it is socially more acceptable to have the guy crush.
they also said, of course, that in their mind, all girl crushes are sexual... whereas the guy crush never is... lmao.
And for crushes--I think it helps if you only know the person from afar--meaning you don't know she filed bankruptcy once, struggles with an eating disorder, or all of the other struggles that make us all human and totally imperfect. I guess it's easier to admire/crush when we don't really know someone. But this girl sounds great!!
I thave a girl crush on my good friend, Cynthia.....I admire everything about her
at first I thought you were talking about me LOL
I love it when women are well put together, sucessful and yet kind and down to earth.
Yikes. OK if guys are allowed to have these then I suppose I've got a big guy crush on Donald Sutherland. Yeah yeah I know, the age difference is insurmountable but y'know, he's going to be excellent in the sack and that voice...oh crikey yes.

What guy has time to "crush" on another guy when there are so many women out there? ;^)
angel jr- totally.
jeorg- more acceptable to have a GUY crush? i'd think it's the other way around...
ally- i totally agree. sometimes it's also the idea of the unknown that adds that appeal too.
princess- go cynthia! does she know you admire her?
b- ;)
desiree- ME TOO.
peej- good one! thanks for bucking up and admitting it! (ahem, aaron?!) how about jack bauer then?
double a- i'll get it out of you eventually.
There's nothing more sexy to me than a confident woman. You can spot them a mile away. Confident, not cocky though.
egan- i love me a good confident man as well. it's a fine line, but once crossed over to cocky category, it's all bad news from there.
My major girl crush I have is Anne Lamott... She's put together in a way I know I can never be, but in my dreams I will some day be as brazen and balsy as her, and be able to pull of dreadlocks and giant scarves.
AMEN to that!
